Adventure Racing is a multi-sport outdoor adventure. Teams of 2, 3 or 4 trot, or hike, and bike through the course together. Winners are those who make smart and careful decisions throughout the day. Newbies who rush too quick are newbies who burn up too soon. Those having fun last longest and finish best.
The skill level of the Short Courses are aimed at the recreational athlete who wants to try adventure racing. If you like the activities of AR but aren't sure if you're up to a full race, the Short Courses may be perfect for you. If you know your stamina can handle a 1/2 marathon and a 20 mile bike ride, then the Long Course is your cup of tea.

Long Course routes will challenge the experienced outdoor athletes and adventure racers. Short Course routes are perfect for those trying out the sport.
